Wedding Invitations Frequently
Asked Questions
Q: What method should I use to address Invitations?
A: Handwriting or calligraphy.
Q: What is the proper way to address guests on the invitation?
A: Wedding invitations are addressed to both members of a married
couple.
This applies even if the bride knows one or only one that will attend.
Q: What is the purpose of an Engagement Announcements?
A: The announcement of an engagement is an informal notification, and lets family and friends know of your recent engagement and upcoming
nuptials.
Q: I'm not sure what to do with Response Cards?
A: Respond Cards, RSVPs, or Response Sets are sent to the guests so they
can tell you whether they will be attending, and how many of the invited
guests to expect. The respond cards include a card, and a stamped envelope that is printed
with a return name and address. The card is imprinted with a phrase such as "The favor of a reply
is requested", and a spot to show how many guests can be expected.
Q: Can I get the envelopes early for addressing?
A: Yes. Envelopes may be ordered for early delivery prior to the rest of
the order.
Q: Where is the proper spot for the Return Address?
A: The return address should be printed on the flap of the outer
envelope so that any invitations that are undeliverable will be returned
to you.
Q: Should I put a stamp on the respond envelopes?
A: Usually a stamp is placed on all respond envelopes.
Q: Can I have a sample mailed to me before ordering?
A: Absolutely. Please email me (Connie) for details.
