Tell the world you're getting married.

After years and years of waiting your special someone has finally proposed to you. You are now beaming with joy because you are now getting married. Here are some ways to help you tell the world that you are now getting married.

Tell them in person:
This is the best way to notify people. It is best to tell the immediate family first. First tell the parents about the news and if you think they will become upset, it maybe best if the groom or the bride does it on his or her own. She will first mellow down and build good reasons why he or she really likes the person. If one of the partner's has any children during previous relationships, it is best to tell them first too.

Throw an engagement party:
Having a party to tell them of your engagement is easier, because it will save you time telling each and every person one by one. The party can be held anywhere and anytime. Even though some people already know the object of the party, others still don't. The object of the party is to really surprise others, especially those people who think you'll be an old maid. So tell the people that already know it to keep quiet.

Send Formal Announcements:
A nice yet expensive way to tell of your engagement is by having special letters sent out. The cards or letter don't need to be really classy, all the letter needs is the information that you are getting married. It could even be an invitation just written on apiece of bond paper. It will be touching for those people out of town as they feel that they are still remembered. It can also help people out of town to plan for the future engagement.

Notify the newspaper:
You can always post a headline that says you're getting married. Submit your application four to six weeks before the wedding. Ask the newspaper for further guidelines, they are very helpful. Try to include a nice picture too.

Emails:
If you're a very non-traditional type of person, you can always do it via e-mail. It may be easier for you but it may be disrespectful to others. If your still pursuing the email thingy, just try to make email stationeries and a blind carbon copy to make it more personal.
