"ACTS OF KINDNESS" - themed weddings are "in"

Kindness is contagious, and it's certainly spreading in the wedding circuit.

More and more couples are including some type of charitable element in their wedding day. For example, some are making contributions to worthwhile causes in each guest's name. Others request that guests donate to a specific charity instead of buying a wedding gift.

You may want to think of ways that you can incorporate this into your wedding plans. One possibility would be to print up a list of local charities that you support and distribute it to your guests.

Planning

The costs for planning a wedding seem to just get more and more expensive with no end in sight. Any help in cutting costs to maintain a reasonable budget needs to be the goal of any couple planning their wedding. For the reason of expenses, couples often end up abandoning something that they love just because it's simply not worth it.

Well, spare the extras on your wedding invitations. A wedding invitation should be nice because it’s what the guests notice and gives a first impression about your wedding. The question is what can be done to achieve the goal while trying to cut costs? Don't worry now because here is some helpful advice in lessening your expenses on wedding invitations and still manage to have an attractive wedding invitation.
* Select and book your invitation order at least 4 months before the wedding. Getting into the habit of last-minute ordering and asking the printer to rush a job can only compound your woes as it increases your invitation cost. So follow your wedding plan schedule and book those invitations way ahead.
* Book about 25-30 additional invitations with your original order. Ordering at bulk at a time may lessen the expenses compared to getting extra copies later.
* When the ceremony and reception takes place at a similar venue, do away with having separate reception cards. The reception can be mentioned on the main invitation.
* Design your own wedding invitations. This will provide a more personal touch on your wedding invitation and is a lot cheaper than buying your invitations from the stores.
* Provide a list of all the different types of required wedding stationery such as response cards, thank-you cards, place cards, etc. and order them together with your invitations. Negotiations for a better discount can be initiated from the merchant based on your bulk order.
* Consider eliminating those response cards from the invitations. Money will be saved from the printing of the cards as well as expenses on the postage stamp which is required to be placed on the response cards.
* Go over your wedding invitation thoroughly. Scan and browse it from top to bottom, forwards, backwards, inside out; just to ensure that no errors were committed. Reprinting due to some errors may not help you achieve your goal to cut cost.

Creativity in your wedding invitations may be a helpful step in cost cutting your wedding invitations. Wedding invitations need not be expensive as long as it can reach the desired party.

Taking pride in what you do when it comes to the wedding planning is all part of the experience that comes with this time. Remember that this should be the best time of your life and nothing should get in the way of you having all that you want when it comes to the planning of the wedding. Take the time to be sure that you are getting what you want and what the groom wants as well, because you should remember that you have a say so in the wedding and so does he so be sure to include him no matter what. There may come a time when the groom says that he does not want to be part of the planning because it is too hard and takes to much time but this is not something that should stop you from including him because he may just be feeling a bit left out of the whole deal and that could be a problem for the both of you. The wedding is important to both of the Bride and the Groom and you should both have a big hand in the planning of the wedding.

Photography can be something that people often times overlook when they are planning a wedding. The wedding is a time that you will want to remember for a lifetime and there is nothing that should stop you from this unless of course you forget to hire a photographer and depend on your Uncle Ralph with his hundred year old Brownie camera to capture the images that you want. It is important to give the attention to hiring a photography the first rate attention that it deserves. First and foremost in your mind should be hiring someone who is not only professional but also has the experience you need to have the finest in all wedding photos. When you take a look at the field of photographers you will notice that the prices range from way below market all the way up to over the top of the heap. There never seems to be a happy medium and it always seems that you are spinning in every direction trying to make sure that you do not make the wrong choice. First off you should personally meet with the photographer long before the deal is signed. Tell him/her that you would request as many samples of their work as they can provide and also ask for a list of references to call on. If the person that you call does this then you know that they are a legitimate photographer and not just some inexperienced person with a Polaroid camera that placed a free classified ad. When you get the references list you should call at least three of them. Verify everything that has been said to you and also get an idea of how the person dealt with and liked the services of the photographer. This will give you a good idea of how things are done and also that the person is on the up and up with everything.

You should avoid the photographer listings that have a price that is listed well below the others. For one thing you should know that they are either not experienced or they are not very good at what they do. There is a matter of a number of people calling themselves photographers because they have a digital camera and can run around the country side snapping pictures of dogs with one ear lifted. There is much more that goes into photographing a wedding and you want someone who has the eye and the talent to make sure that the event is caught on film and making the best impression possible. Remember in this case you get what you pay for.

Now comes the matter of the video. There is always a chance that you will want a video of the entire wedding to go along with the photographs that you will receive. Now this can be a very tricky thing to pull off. The common rule of thumb is that still life photographers do not like to mess with the video end of things as it is much more difficult to produce quality and is not something that they enjoy doing. Well that is not the case. Once you have hired a photographer ask him/her for the name of a good person to run the video. They will most likely have several names of those that they have worked with in the past. Ask them if they know the rates and the best person for the job. Most often you will find that they are more than helpful in this area. The person on the video will most likely give the photographer a small commission for getting them the job so it works well for everyone involved in the transaction.

The photographer and the video person will most likely want access to the areas where they will be taking pictures well in advance. They will need to make sure of the equipment that they will need to use for all of the situations. This normally entails taking light readings and determining where the shadows will be falling to make sure that they will get the best shots possible during the wedding event. This is normal for all photographers as they will work very hard to make sure that you are getting the best in all of the pictures and nothing is going to go wrong. You will need to be prepared as a good photographer will charge a rather large fee. This fee will include the whole package and there is a lot that goes into taking pictures for a wedding so there is nothing wrong with the amounts that they charge once you know all of the things that go into it. Ask ahead of time to have a break down of what all the photographer will do and how much it is going to cost. Most often you will see that they are more than willing to explain the entire procedure to you without the slightest of hesitation.
